Hill of the Guard The Hill of the Guard extends from the Great Gate up to the seventh level of the city. A sloping tunnel has been bored into the hill to allow access from the Gate to the Seventh Level. A stone bench is at the end of the outcropping.

Tower of Ecthelion The Tower of Ecthelion was built to house the Palantir. After the defeat of Sauron, Aragorn returned the Palantir to its home in the tower. Guards are always on duty to ensure it's safety.
